About Us

There are eleven of us in the community - four French, six Irish and one Nigerian - and though all but one have passed the official retiring age, most of us still play an active part either in school, in the parish or in the village. Furthermore, living as we do within easy reach of Paris, those of us who are able to, can take advantage of the religious and cultural riches of that most stimulating of cities.

Until recently there were ten of us living in Juilly but it was with regret that recently we had to let the doyenne of our community go into specialised care. Our comfort is to see that she is happy there. The eleventh member of the family, who is also the youngest, does fulltime parish work in Etampes in the diocese of Evry.
