England
There are twelve Sisters of St Louis in the English Mission. The community lives in two cluster groups around London and Newmarket. The age range of the Sisters is from seventy to ninety. Structures are in place to ensure the Sisters have a good quality of life as they age and that they have the care appropriate to their needs.
All have a commitment to the ministry of prayer and presence. Most are in active retirement with ministries in community development, education, parish and pastoral work, according to the needs of the area and the times.
The Old Stable House was established in Newmarket in 1980. It is run by the Sisters, with the help of a manager, as a centre of spirituality and renewal for people of all faiths. The premises are used by a variety of groups who usually conduct their own programmes. The Sisters themselves come together there for events and celebrations.
