United States
There are approximately 35 sisters of St Louis in the United States, based in Southern California and Florida.
The Sisters of St Louis arrived in the United States in 1949, and worked mainly in education for the first 40 years. During that time, they staffed and ran more than 13 elementary schools and worked in four High Schools. One of the High Schools, Louisville High School in Woodland Hills California, is owned by the Sisters of St Louis. For the last 20 years many of the sisters have moved away from education and into a variety of fields, answering the needs we saw arising in society.
