Patricia Ebegbulem SSL receives award at inaugural Sisters Anti-Trafficking Awards ceremony in London

SATA 250x25030 NOVEMBER, 2023. Congratulations to Patricia Ebegbulem SSL who was one of three recipients of awards at the inaugural Sisters Anti–Trafficking Awards Ceremony in London on October 31. The Sisters Anti-Trafficking Awards (SATAs) is an annual celebration that honours Catholic sisters who have demonstrated exceptional courage, creativity, collaboration, and achievement in protecting communities from human trafficking. The ceremony was co-hosted by ARISE (anti-slavery NGO), UISG (International Union of Superiors General), and the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
 
Each of the three sisters received a piece of art and $20,000 to further support their work and ministry on the promotion of human dignity:
1.     The ‘Common Good Award’ for courage and creativity in addressing exploitation was presented to Sr Seli′ Thomas, Sisters of Mary Immaculate. See video HERE.
2.     The ‘Servant Leadership Award’ for excellence in network-building was presented to Sr Francoise Jirahonda. See video HERE.
3.     The ‘Human Dignity Award’ for lifetime achievement in addressing exploitation was presented to our own Patricia Ebegbulem SSL. See video HERE
